January Favourites // 2016

Now all of the 'New Year, New Me' posts have come and gone, its time for the monthly 'favourite' posts to begin again. I decided to leave my new year's resolutions back in 2015! Last year I gave myself a huge list of goals for the year, and guess what? Im still the same unorganised, broke, girl I was when I wrote them back in 2014 (I may be happier and a little thinner now, mind)

For those of you who don't know, I only support companies that do not test on animals and I try to use products that are as natural as possible. I'm aware that some of the makeup products I use are not natural in the slightest, but they are never (to my best knowledge) tested on animals, which is something that is pretty important to me.

Frank Lip Balm and Scrub Duo // I'm one of those people who always has dry lips in the winter. All the lip balms in the world couldn't help until Frank released their Lip Balm and Lip Scrub duo. The coffee, sugar and oil based duo work in perfect harmony to give me the softest, glossiest lips going. Full of natural ingredients, completely vegan and the prettiest instagram page, what's not to love?

Hello Hair // I'm sure you've seen their posts all over instagram, but in case you haven't, Hello Hair is an aussie based, natural and vegan hydrating hair mask. I used to have extremely dry and damaged hair from over bleaching and heat styling. Luckily after ditching the blonde and embracing my natural wave, I've finally got it back into a decent condition. I have become a lover of oil masks over the years and Hello Hair has to be my favourite. Packed full of every oil you could imagine, this mask is perfect for achieving healthy, shiny looking hair.

Lush Sea Spray // I love beachy hair, and I'm pretty lucky to have a natural wave to mine. I hardly ever heat style my hair, so to help maintain my mermaid-like style I always use sea salt spray. My favourite lately has been the Lush Sea Spray, not only for the way it makes my hair look but also for the way it smells too. As soon as I'm out of the shower I spray this in my hair, brush it through and I'm good to go!

Neals Yard Rehydrating Rose Facial Oil // If anything has 'Rose' or 'Radiance' in its description, it has my heart right away. This is an organic facial oil that helps restores your skins luminosity. My skin can get slightly dry in the winter and it definitely loses its glow from the summer months so this oil is a godsend for me. It keeps my skin hydrated through the winter and it makes my skin look like its glowing from within.

Lush Eyes Right Mascara // I was slightly skeptical about this product for a long time, but I also found it rather intriguing so I finally decided to give it go, and I'm love with it. I have naturally long lashes and I have been looking for a mascara that will just darken and lengthen for a more natural appearance. This is a very gentle product and it contains wheatgrass, which is great for conditioning damaged lashes. Just be careful with this if you have watery eyes, this can run pretty easily!

The Pretty Natural

Hey there, and welcome to my little corner of the internet.

I'm a green tea drinking, plant based loving, yoga pant wearing 23 year old from the South Coast of England. I love photography, travelling, the ocean, long lie ins and yoga.

If you are interested in natural, cruelty free beauty, then The Pretty Natural is the place for you. A year ago I made the decision to only support ethical companies and start using more natural products. My skin improved so much since ditching the harsh chemicals and it feels pretty good when you go cruelty free (I like to think of it as good Karma!).

The aim for 'The Pretty Natural' is to be informative and inspirational to others. This blog will consist of product reviews, health tips, plant based food ideas and many pretty photographs.  I want to share my journey with you and discover more on the way.

Once you put your mind to it, you'll find its simple to live life pretty naturally.
